O. Ward Funeral services for Lional Ottie Ward, 70, of Broken Bow, who was killed in an automobile accident Tuesday in Texarkana, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Norwood-Welch Funeral chapel in Idabel. Burial was in the Holly Creek cemetery. Mr. Ward was born July 22, 1900, in Ohio and moved to McCurtain county 14 years ago from Michigan. he was a retired rancher and a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include his wife, Stella; six sons, Lional Ward, Jr., of Broken Bow, Hubert Ward of Commerce, Mich., Joseph Ward of Plainsfield, N. J., Charles Ward of Ortonville, Mich., Michael Ward of Broken Bow, and Glenn Ward of Sherman, Tex.; a daughter Mrs. Edward Brown of Lake Orin, Mich.; four brothers, John Ward of Pontiac, Mich., Oren Ward of new Mana Morris, Ohio, Roy and George Ward, both of Canton, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. John Combs of Kentucky, Mrs. Melvin Vinger of Sly, Ohio, Mrs. Harold Martin of Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Chris Eckelberry of East Canton, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McCurtain Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mccurtain/mccurtai.htm
