"Dick" White, 44, died at his home on Mountain Fork river eight miles east of Broken Bow Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock following an extended illness of dropsy. For the past three years he has been confined to his home and his death was not unexpected. Mr. White had lived in this section the past thirteen years and was engaged in farming before his illness. He was well liked and has a wide circle of friends who will regret to learn of his death. He is survived by his wife; six children, Mrs. Vera Foster, Lena Belle, May, Buddie, Derrell and Pauline White; a grandson, Gene Foster; two brothers, Sam White of Broken Bow, and John White of California, and one sister, Mrs. Robert Turk, of Blakeney, Texas. Mrs. White is a daughter of Mrs. Joplin, and sister of Mrs. Hugh Cain and Wes Joplin, of this city. The News joins the friends of the family in extending expressions of deepest sympathy.
