Obituary: Emma Jane Wilds

= Emma Jane Wilds =       

Emma Jane Wilds, 89-year old Etna resident, passed away on April 27, 
2003 in the Madrone Hospice House. Emma was born on November 19, 1913 
in Valliant, Oklahoma to Will and Connie Irons. She moved to 
California with her six children after being widowed, to work as a 
farm laborer and cook in various communities in the San Joaquin 
Valley.  Emma lived the last years of her life in Etna with her 
daughter caring for her.   

Emma was associated with the Kindgom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in 
Greenview. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was much loved 
by her family.  Emma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved 
her.   

Emma is survived by her six children, Roy Eugene Wilds, David Nelson 
Wilds, Dennis Wayne Wilds, Virginia Maxine Barragoan, Christibell 
Ouida Herrera and Anna Jane Long; half-sister, Nancy Ruth Irons; 16 
grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren 
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emma was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Josephine.    

A private graveside service will be held in the Etna Cemetery, 
Memorial contributions may be made to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier 
Circle, Yreka, CA. 96097. Girdner Funeral Chapel is handling the 
arrangements.
