All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Valliant Cemetery--Valliant OK OBITUARY: Eldridge Quinton Wilds Newspaper: McCurtain Gazette, Idabel, Oklahoma dated: August 22, 1951 ELDRIDGE WILDS DIES MONDAY Eldridge Quinton Wilds, 48, Mount Zion died at his home at 9:40 a.m. Monday (August 20, 1951) following an extended illness. Born at Rawleigh, N. C., February 2, 1903, he had resided in the Mount Zion community since 1924, moving from California. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of God. Funeral arrangements, under the of Coffey funeral home, are pending arrival of relatives. He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Fred Wilds, San Fernando, Calif; two daughters, Mrs. J. R. Williams, Valliant, and Miss Edyth Josephine Wilds, home address; three sons, Abraham E. Wilds, with the army in North Carolina, and Lattie Paul and Nathan Boake Wilds, home address; five sisters, Mrs. Gene Louie, Oakland, Calif;., Mrs. Janie Roman, San Fernando, and three whose married names were not available at press time; four brothers, Nelson, Dave and Vallie Wilds, all of San Fernando, and Lattie Wilds, Emory, Tex., and three grandchildren. ========= News Clipping : McCurtain Gazette, Idabel, Oklahoma Dated: Saturday, August 25, 1951 SERVICES HELD FOR ELDRIDGE Q. WILDS. Funeral services for Eldridge Quinton Wilds, 48, Mount Zion, who died at his home at 9:40 a.m. Monday, were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday (8- 24-1951) at the Valliant Methodist church with Rev. L. D. Snow of Emory, Tex., officiating.
