Williamson McCurtain Gazette Idabel, Oklahoma July 13, 1968 Emmit E. Williamson, 79, of Garvin, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday (July 11, 1968) in a Texarkana hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1888 in Zebulon, Ga., he moved to McCurtain County in 1920 from Georgia. He was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his widow, Rosa Lee (Bailey) Williamson; three sons, Walter Williamson of Sherman, Texas; Edgar Williamson of Garvin, and Leon Williamson of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Mrs. Ward Fyfe of Perrydale, Oregon, Mrs. R. J. Whitaker of Garvin, and Mrs. Arthur T. Walker of Warren, Ariz.; seven sisters, including Mrs. Margarette McKeller and Mrs. Mary Monroe, both of Rusk, Texas, Mrs. Agnes McCowen, Mrs. Velma Tipton and Mrs. Calla Petre, all of Jacksonville, Texas and Mrs. Oeeda Brosshire of Texas; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Baptist Church at Garvin.
