Anderson Winship Anderson Winship, 95, Broken Bow, died Sunday (June 25, 2000) at McCurtain Memorial Hospital at Idabel. He was born Dec. 25, 1904, the son of Isaac and Ennitte Winship. Born in Indian Territory, Winship was an original enrollee of the Choctaw Nation. He was a member of Tohwah United Methodist Church, enjoyed dishing, hunting, and had lived in this area most of his life. He was preceded in death by nine brothers, two sisters, one grandson, two granddaughters, two sons, one daughter and one step-daughter. He is survived by four sons, Cornelius Winshp, Forth Worth, Texas, Clifford Winship, Vernon, Texas, Jimmy Winship, Oleta, and Kenneth Winship, Hugo; seven daughters, Irene Priest of Tennessee, Rena Going of Forth Worth, Barbara Battiest of Broken Bow, Una Harley of Idabel, Oneida Winship of Durant, Dean Winship of Paris, Texas and Lynn Winship of Broken Bow; three brothers, Aaron Baker and Floyd Baker, both of Battiest and Owen Baker of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Mary Tisho of Broken Bow and Edith Gem of California; 32 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, four step- grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services wqere at 10 a.m. today (June 28, 2000) at Tohwah United Methodist Church, Oak Hill, with Rev. Harvey Williams officiating. Burial followed in Tohwah Cemetery.
