                    Cemeteries Relocated to New Mellette

             In preparation for the Eufaula Reservoir, these cemeteries
   were relocated to the New Mellette Cemetery by the Army Corps of
   Engineers. We would like to thank the DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY, Tulsa
   District, Corps of Engineers for their generosity in making these
   records available.


   OLD MELLETTE CEMETERY McIntosh County Oklahoma

             The cemetery was located one mile east of Mellette,
   Oklahoma, in Sec. 35 T9N, R15E. Reinterment was made in the New
   Mellette Cemetery, Mellette, McIntosh County, Oklahoma, in Sec 27,
   T9N, R15E.

   New Mellette Cemetery, Mellette, McIntosh County, Oklahoma, in Sec. 27
   T9N, R15E.

   EVANS CEMETERY McIntosh County, Oklahoma

             This two-grave cemetery was located three miles northeast of
   Mellette, Oklahoma, in Sec. 11, T9N, R15E. Reinterment was made in the
   New Mellette Cemetery, Mellette, McIntosh County, Oklahoma, in Sec.
   18, T10N, R17E.
