Bray, Jr., was born on March 6, 1915 at Checotah, Okla. to the late Robert C. Bray and Tennessee Hill Bray, and passed away April 12, 2003 at the age of 88 at Seminole Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delpha Bray, and their 4 children: Robert C. Bray III and wife Billie of Eufaula; Denton Bray and wife Vicky of Wetumka; Randy Bray and wife Glenda of Wetumka; and Lana Bray of Holdenville. 8 grandchildren: Robert C. Bray IV and wife Jacqui of Little; DeLee Bray and wife Tammy; Michelle Brown, Jeff Bray and Roll Bray and wife Crystal all of Wetumka, Brandon Bray and wife Tylisa of Oklahoma City, Lance Winters and Nick Nolen, of Holdenville. 12 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. Siblings include 1 sister Lucille Poole of Wewoka. Preceding her in death: Olaf Bray, Walter Bray, May Whittaker, Anna Westbrook, and Paul C. Bray. Robert served his country in WWII receiving various medals and honors. He is well known in the horse racing community as a trader and a breeder, he hosted the running of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Futurity horse race. He also has various awards and honors with AQHA as a breeder of fine bloodlines for 50 years. Services to celebrate his life will be held at United Methodist Church at 10:00am Tuesday, April 15, 2003.
