Ruth Virginia Dickens Clanton

Ruth Virginia Dickens Clanton, 89, formerly of Amarillo, died Tuesday, May
19, 1998, in Dallas.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with the
Rev. Wayne Hicks of Valleyview Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mrs. Clanton was born in Hanna, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1925 from
Eufaula, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of Valleyview Church of
the Nazarene. She was a former member of San Jacinto Church of the
Nazarene.

She married Harvey E. Clanton in 1925 at Eufaula. He died in 1965.

Survivors include a son, Harvey R. Clanton of Marshall; three daughters,
Jeneva Clanton Jones of Dry Prong, La., Billie Clanton Sanders of Oklahoma
City and Mary June Clanton of Dallas; nine grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family requests memorials be to Valleyview Church of the Nazarene,
7601 S. Western, Amarillo, Texas 79109.

Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
