Charles Thomas Davis and Dennie Ila Hester Davis. Hattie passed away July 17, 2006 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years 6 months and 10 days. Hattie was married to William Riley Foshee in Wagoner, Oklahoma on July 5, 1935. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, she later earned her Masters Degree from Oklahoma State University. Fresh out of college, her teaching career began as an English and Choral teacher at Hitchita Public Schools where she taught her future brothers and sisters- in- law during the 30's. She also taught at Eufaula Public Schools and Okmulgee Public Schools, retiring in 1976 from Morris Public Schools. Hattie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Morris where she served as choir director until the age of 88. Prior to serving in Morris, she served as choir director at the First United Methodist Church in Eufaula and First United Methodist Church in Henryetta. While in Henryetta she taught piano to many local boys and girls. In later years Hattie served as President of the Okmulgee Retired Educators Association and Okmulgee Wednesday Morning Music Club. She was preceded in death by her husband William Riley Foshee in 1964; a son Leon Thomas Foshee in 2001; two brothers, Charles Thomas Davis II, Henry Frank Davis and one sister Willie Hester Davis Meek. She is survived by: 1 Son, William Charles Foshee & wife Anna Harriette of Windsor, California 1 Daughter, Susan Emily Foshee Huff & husband David of San Jose, California 4 Grandchildren; John Díaz de Arce, San José, California Marc Stephan Foshee, Salt Lake City, Utah Katharine Keith Foshee, Arcata, California Anna Caroline Foshee, Toluca, Mexico A sister in law, Dorothy T. Davis, Mesquite, Texas As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Morris officiated by Rev. Nathan Mattox.
