All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery--Bakersfield CA Jessie Mae Heintz 1917 - 2005 Jessie Mae Heintz (Estes) Private graveside services were held on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Jessie Mae (Estes) Heintz was born on June 14, 1917, in Onapa, Oklahoma. She went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2005. She was 88 years old. Jessies family moved from Oklahoma in 1926 to Di Giorgio, California where she attended Rock Pile School and graduated from Kern County Union High School. Jessie met her future husband (Emanuel) in 1939, in Sanger, California and were married in Yuma, Arizona in 1940. During her husbands service in WWII, she resided in Chicago, Illinois where worked for the Dixie Cup Factor. She returned home after her husband was transferred to the Pacific Theater. After the war, Jessie and Emanuel resided in Di Giorgio, Jessie was Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher for her church. President of the PTA for Di Giorgio School, chairman for the school carnival, Brownie leader, secretary of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed gardening. In 1961 she moved with her family to Bakersfield where she eventually worked for Brocks (Gottschalks) as Sally Shopper Jessie was a member of Calvary Bible Church. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, A.A. and Ruth Estes; her sisters, Aura, Vee, Vivian and Erma; brother, Fred; and her husband, Emanuel in December 2001. Jessie is survived by a sister, Archie and brother, Ted; sons, Tyson and wife, Carolyn, Terry and wife, Linda; daughters, Cheryl Bomar and husband, Jim; and Saundra Dorsey (bonus daughter); grandchildren, Michelle and husband, Michael Luttrell, Darlena and Gary Holt, Nick and Irma Heintz, Vance Heintz, Keri and Christopher Drewry, Tyson and Traci Dorsey; great-grandchildren, Christin and Laura Wilson, Savana Mae Drewry and Nicholus William Heintz. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Evergreen-Arvin Nursing Home for their compassion and excellent care of our Mom. We would also like to thank Pastor Doug Davis of Calvary Bible Church for officiating and praying for our family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
