Services 11 a.m. Friday, Greenlawn Cemetery, Hampton Mortuary, Checotah. Chester Paul Jackson, 88, of Warner, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2006 in Countryside Estates Nursing Home following a lingering illness. He was born on December 29, 1917 at Carr Creek, OK, the son of William Henry and Suzie Frances (Clark) Jackson, and had lived in the Checotah/ Warner area all his life. He was married to Hazel Bernice Wilson, and they were self-employed farmer and ranchers. Chester had served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. Preceding Chester in death were his parents, six brothers, six sisters, and two grandchildren. Survivors include wife Hazel of the home; four sons Richard Jackson and wife Marilyn of Warner, Raymond Jackson and wife Caryl of Jacksonville, FL, David Jackson and wife Rosa of Mounds, OK and Larry Jackson of Warner; good friend Connie Brunk; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a. m., Friday, October 6, 2006 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Checotah, with Chaplain Wendell Cox officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Trinity Hospice, Checotah, or Warner Senior Citizens Center, Warner. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Mortuary, 211 W.
