Massey Jr., James Thomas "Jim" James 'Jim' Thomas Massey, Jr. age 53, was born on December 14, 1949 in Ardmore, OK and departed this life on Thursday, June 12, 2003, in Oklahoma City, OK. Jim was the son of James Thomas Massey, Sr. and Oleta Gertrude (Clifton) Massey. He graduated from Healdton, OK, and served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1974. He married Leatrice (Springman) Massey on October 5, 1984, in Oklahoma City, OK. Jim was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ardmore, OK; a member of the American Legion, a member of the Harley Owners Group and past member of the Jaycees of Ardmore. He was a very active member of the McLoud, OK Masonic Lodge 126, past Master and currently Worthy Patron of Eastern Star 193 and a 32 degree Mason of the Scottish Rite of McAlester Valley. He did heat & air at General Motors for 23 years. Jim loved his grandchildren, his Harley, fishing and his lake house in Eufaula. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Leatrice Massey of the home; 1 step-daughter & husband: Denisa Melkovitz & Roger, Bethany, OK; 1 sister & brother-in-law: Debra & Don Springfield, Ratliff City, OK; 1 half-sister & brotherin-law: Cindy & Don Mueller, Oklahoma City, OK; 3 grandchildren: Roger, Desiree & Robert Melkovitz, Bethany, OK. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 16, 2003 at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will be at 3:00 P.M. at Berwyn Cemetery, Gene Autry, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
