He was born in Elmore City, OK on October 16, 1911, and was one of 9 children born to the Reverend Charles P.D. and Martha Mann. He married Dorothy Mattingly on June 6, 1937. He was co owner of the J&M Cleaners in Bethany, OK for several years, and then worked at Aero Commander. In 1972, he and his wife retired and moved Lake Eufaula and were members of the Eufaula United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason for over 50 years and was a Shriner. He liked fishing and was an avid OU Sooners fan. Since 1999, he had resided at the Mustang Manor Assisted Living in Mustang, OK. Elmer was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, of 62 years, one son, Tom Mann, his parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Trambley and husband, Chuck, of Escondido, CA, and Donna Legg and husband, Bud of Mustang OK; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lavinia Hall and husband, Bill, and Nalora Jacobs and husband, Jay, all of OKC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Tues., Dec. 10, 2002 at 1:00 p.m., at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany.
