All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 11 Jan 2003 Moore, Clarence Funeral for Clarence Moore, 91, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Coast, pastor, Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Moore died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at a local hospital. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Louise B. Hazelton Cemetery, Buckeye, Ariz., under direction of Buckeye Funeral Home. He was born Oct. 13, 1911, at Lenna, Macintosh County, to Thomas Jefferson Moore and Harriet Matilda Raper Moore. He grew up near Stringtown and worked on the Jim Bridges Ranch. He married Mabel Shaw on May 21, 1932, in Atoka. During World War II he worked in the shipyards in California. In 1947 he moved his family to Phoenix. He worked on a ranch in Rainbow Valley, near Buckeye, where he later owned and operated a country store. He retired in 1975, and moved to Lawton in June 1999, to be near his son and daughter-in-law and his granddaughter, Hanna Fuentes. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Erika Moore, Lawton; a brother, Otis Moore, Colgate; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
