Services were Dec 17 at the United Pentecostal Church in Checotah followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah. Survivors include her husband of the home in Checotah; for sons, Tommy Ray and Linda Meeks of Muskogee, Willie Lee and Eastea Meeks, Ted Douglas and Jessie Meeks all of Checotah, and Kenneth Wayne Meeks of the home; three brothers, Charlie Ray Fletcher and Donald Ray Fletcher both of Modesto, CA and Jimmy Lee Fletcher of Tulsa; two sisters, Louise Myers of Lebanon, OR and Mary Lou Pryor of Vacaville, CA; eleven grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bobby Joe Meeks in 1976; a brother, Vern Fletcher in 1996 and a sister, Emma Jean Whisenhunt in 2000. Services were Dec 18 in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Checotah followed by burial in Greenalwn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; two sisters and six brothers. Survivors include three sons, Clinton Foster of Checotah, David Foster of Broken Arrow, and Kenneth Foster of Tulsa; a daughter, Phyllis Foster Berner of Springdale, AR; twin sister, Ettie Foster of Maricopa, CA; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Lex and Sandra Barker of Tucson, AZ; daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Mike Rich of Marshall, MN; sister, Genia Maude Mitchell of Prattville, AL; grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew, Michael, Lori, Jill, Dan, Dean, Vicki and Christi; sister-in-law, Lucille Gideon of Eufaula.
