Post MOUNTAIN VIEW -- Funeral for Billie R. Post, 63, Mountain View, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fort Cobb First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Winston and the Rev. Donald Wright officiating. Mr. Post died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 in Carnegie. Burial will be in Fort Cobb Cemetery, under direction of Hackney Funeral Home, Mountain View. He was born April 3, 1941 in Eufala, to Robert and Alberta Chiles Post. He married Opal Perry Oct. 17, 1966 in Anadarko. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Medals and honors he received include the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Marksmanship Badge (rifle), and a citation by direction of the Secretary of the Army, the Army Commendation Medal. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Fort Cobb. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Kristi Plew, Wichita Falls, Texas; a son, Bryan Post, Mountain View; five grandchildren: Zelijah Post and Marley Post, both of Mountain View; Mikalah Post, Wynnewood; Zeliah Plew and Katalina Plew, both of Wichita Falls, Texas; three sisters: Verlene Johnson and Charlene Jackson, both of Oklahoma City; and Cheesi Cartwright, Chickasha; three brothers: Phillip Post, Binger; Lee Drue Post, Killeen, Texas; and Kenneth Post, Oklahoma City; other relatives and many friends.
