Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Country Club Road Church of Christ in Roswell, N.M., with Doug Austin officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mrs. Parris was born July 1, 1934, in Checotah, Okla., to Gabe and Martha Herron. She was an active member of her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Parris in 1992; a brother, Albert Herron; and a sister, Marilyn Herron. Survivors include two daughters, Ronna Nord and husband, David, of Amarillo and Cheryl Ann Griffith and husband, Harry, of Roswell; a son, Gary Hooser and wife, Sharon, of Roswell; six grandchildren, Crystal Marshall of Dallas, Aaron Nord of Amarillo, Sarah Griffith, Emily Griffith, Autumn Fuentes and Steven Hooser, all of Roswell; a great- granddaughter, Norie Faye Marshall of Dallas; four sisters, her twin sister, Maye Purcell, Betty Walker and Margaret Clements, all of Roswell, and Vickie Larson of Arizona; two brothers, Sammy Herron of Lubbock and Charles Herron of Odessa; and 31 nieces and nephews. The family suggests flowers be sent to the church. The family will be at 801 Caministo in Roswell.
