All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Buffalo Cemetery--Beckham County OK Viley Pearl Reed ELK CITY, Okla. - Viley Pearl Reed, 91, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery. Mrs. Reed was born near Eufala, Okla. She moved to Briscoe, Texas, from Doxey in 1929, and to Elk City from Dempsey in 1973. She married Cleave N. Reed in 1928 at Doxey. He died in 1978. Survivors include three sons, L.G. Reed of Wheeler and Alvie Joe Reed and Cleavie Leon Reed, both of Elk City; three daughters, Dora Fay Bryan of Amarillo, Joy Smith of Clinton and Sherry Lynn Carpenter of Yukon; a brother, Jewel Stevens of Merced, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 33 great- grandchildren; 12 greatgreat-grandchildren. Kansas Jr., Steve Unruh and Verle Yost, ministers, officiating. Burial will be in Salem Church Cemetery in Copeland by Haskell County Funeral Home. Mr Koehn was born in Canton. He moved from McPherson to Sublette where he was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the Salem Mennonite Church. He married Sophie Mae Giesel in 1930 at Galva. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Granville Koehn of Marienthal, Dennis Koehn of Texline, Texas and John Koehn, Andy Koehn and Emery Koehn, all of Sublette; three daughters, Jul Nightengale of Center, Colo., Juanita Ensz of Texline and Jane Nikkel of Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada ; three sisters, Annie Schmidt of Rich Hill, Mo., Edna Dyck of Stapleton, Ga., and Lucille Hiebert of Hillsboro; 25 grandchildren; and 32 great- grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Bethel Home and may be mailed or left at Haskell County Funeral Home, Box 607, Sublette, KS 67877.
