All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Taulbee Shepherd Services: Tuesday, February 4 Taulbee Lee Shepherd, born in Pierce, Oklahoma, May 23, 1922, to Taulbee and Fannie Shepherd. Taub went home to be with the Lord, January 31, 2003 after a long struggle with congestive heart failure. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean War. He was the recipient of three bronze stars. Taub devoted his life, all that he was, and all that he had, to the Lord. He was a faithful deacon. He was survived by his loving wife, Lavon, of 59 years, one daughter, Linda Sue Shepherd, one brother, LeRoy Shepherd of Bakersfield, California, one sister, Sadie Tucker of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and many other relatives, friends, and co-workers. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to all the doctors and nurses who attended him during his illness. Special thanks goes to Dr. Denis Maddox, who became a personal friend, as well as his physician. Memorial Services will be held at Valley Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Avenue, Bakersfield, on Tuesday, February 4.
