Stevenson Services: Tues, July 30, 10:00 am Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane. Ella Stevenson was born September 27, 1928, Eufala Oklahoma and passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family by her side. Ella was married to Tilroe C. Stevenson from Ardmore, Oklahoma for many years until his passing in 1990. She was a long time resident of Kern County and a retired Nurse. She enjoyed her home and enjoyed the simple things in life. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking big comfort meals for her family. Ella could also be seen on the weekends touring and collecting antiques from Co-Sign-It, Great American Antiques and other antiques stores throughout Bakersfield. Gardening, decorating and visiting with her family gave her great joy. She associated with Jehovah Witnesses and enjoyed her home Bible studies. Ella was known for her non-judgmental generosity. Anyone who visited Ella immediately bonded with her and felt comfortable confiding in her. She leaves behind five sons and five daughters: Billy Stevenson, Tilroe Stevenson, Jr. Kenneth Stevenson, Wayne Stevenson, Gary Stevenson, Ola Stevenson, Elaine Stevenson, Juanita Stevenson, Shirley Stevenson and Terry Stevenson. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her cat Snacker. Mother, we will remember your words of wisdom and guidance. Stevenson was born September 27, 1928 in Eufala, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family by her side. Ella was married to Tilroe C. Stevenson from Ardmore, Oklahoma for 45 years before he passed away in 1990. She was a longtime resident of Kern County and a retired nurse. She enjoyed her home and the simple things in life. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking big comfort meals for her family. Ella also enjoyed collecting antiques. Gardening, decorating and visiting with her family gave her great joy. Ella loved the Lord and had developed a new relationship with her maker before she passed on. Ella was known for her non-judgemental generosity. Anyone who visited Ella immediately bonded with her. Ella leaves behind five sons and five daughters and their spouses. Billy R. Stevenson and wife, Terry; Ola M. Stevenson; Elaine Stevenson; Juanita Sanderson and husband, Rueben; Tilroe C. Stevenson Jr.; Kenneth R. Stevenson and wife, Cindy; Wayne Stevenson and wife, Diane; Terry F. Stevenson; and Gary M. Stevenson and wife, Claudia. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ella is survived by five brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, at11:00 a.m. at the Southside Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1330 3rd St., Bakersfield, CA. Inerment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Ln.
