All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Jack Leon Tyner Services: Tues., Sept. 18, 1:30 p.m. Chapel services wil be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., Tuesday, September 18, at 1:30 p.m. for Jack Leon Tyner, 68, who passed away September 14, 2001. Dexter McMahon and Murry Britt will officiate. Mr. Tyler was born on January 27, 1933, in Eufaula, Oklahoma and resided in Kern County for 58 years. Mr. Tyner retired from the Maintenance Dept. of the Fairfax School District after 35 years of service. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955, during the Korean War and and was honorably discharged. He received the National Defense, Korean Service Good Conduct and China Services medals. He was a member of the VFW Post #97 of Bakersfield. Mr. Tyner was preceded in death by his parents Hugh Tyner and Alberta Park Tyner; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ruby Tyner of Bakersfield; daughter Toni Tyner of Fresno; son and daughter-in-law Bob and Carol Tyner of Bakersfield; granddaughters Jamie Kunishige, Hanna Tyner and Cori Tyner; sister Lucille Worthen of Oregon; sisters-in-law Janie Tyner, Dollie Spillers and Sue Herrera; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Woody and Ruth Park and brother-in-law Doyal Lisenbee all of Bakersfield; many cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and special friend of the family, John Worley.
