HORATIO P., born at Princeton, N.J., in 1810. Graduated at West Point 1831. Entered Union army in 1861, and was conspicuous for gallantry in Mill Springs, Stone River, and Chickamauga, for which he was promoted to brigadier-general. Mustered out as brevet major-general at close of war.
