The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hawkins Family Cemetery Nebo, Murray County, OK The Hawkins Family cemetery is located in the area of the old Nebo community. Scot Hawkins was a farmer and stockman who lived on Oil Creek just east of Nebo. He later served as Judge of Tishomingo County county in the Chickasaw Nation. There are no tombstones to identify the interred. The graves are covered with small stone shelters similar to the one in the photo below. Scotland Hawkin's daughter, Mrs. Lafayette Owens, said that there are 12 graves in this Indian family cemetery. The only known persons interred in the family cemetery are: Scotland Hawkins Rebecca (Greenwood) Hawkins Infant Son of Scotland and Rebecca Hawkins Infant Daughter of Scotland and Rebecca Hawkins Dennis Muncrief - January, 2002
