MISS NORA YOUNG came from Norman to visit at home. DR. DIXIE TUCKER left Friday for Dallas where she will spend Christmas with her son MELVIN TUCKER. MISS BARBARA WEAVER went to Oklahoma City Saturday to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. CLAUDE WEAVER. MISSES LUCILLE and ELIZABETH GAFFORD and MISS BESSIE JOHNSTON returned from Kidd-Key College at Sherman for Christmas vacation. MS. F. M. ROGERS, who has been visiting her daughter, MRS. J. E URY, for the past month, returned to Fort Worth. GEORGE FRIER left Saturday for Dallas to join Mrs. Frier and spend Christmas with their son CLARENCE and family. Mr. and Mrs. R. B BEARD will have as their guests over Christmas, Mr. and Mrs. JOHN PITTMAN of Cement. MRS. LOUIS ANDERSON of Dougherty is spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. F. M. ANDERSON. C. M. MAYS has been out of the city for the past week, assisting invoicing a number of lumber yards. J. W. MARSCE of Crusher was in Sulphur on business. MISS MANILA RENFRO who is employed at the post office at Electra, Texas is spending the holidays with her parents, Co. and Mrs. I. C RENFRO of this city. MISS NICHOLSON left Friday for Longview, Texas to spend the holidays with her parents. T. M. LATTIMORE who has been in Miami for several months is here for the holidays with his family. County Agent A.J. STEVENS spent last week in Oklahoma City and Purcell in connection with his county work. PUSH CHEADLE, recently released from service, spent last week here. The Sulphur fire department will give a New Year's Eve Ball at the Artesian Hotel for the benefit of the Fire Boys Fund. Music and dancing will be the feature of the evening. Invitations are being sent out to the fire departments in near by cities. Born to Mr. and Mrs. FRANK WILEY, a fine 11 pound boy last Saturday morning. PRIVATE HARRY MONTGOMERY from Camp Cody, New Mexico arrived here Thursday. ROY POOLE and wife have arrived from College Station, Texas where he was in officers training school. He was assistant postmaster at Sulphur before entering the service. His former position is open to him, if he desires to re-enter the mail service. PRIVATE HUGH CARTER arrived home last week from Camp Pike. JOHN MCDONALD recently returned from Carlisle Indian School for the holidays… J. W. STEVENSON is visiting his old home at Cooper, Texas during the holidays. MRS. COLE FRAY left Sunday for a holiday visit to Waco, Texas after visiting her sister MRS. G. W. STEVENSON. PROF. S. P. HENDRICKS of the Buckhorn school was here transacting business. J. WL. POMEROY of Hickory, owner of the Hickory Hill farm, was here on business. JACK KELLAR, republican member of the county election board, who lives at Gilsonite, was here on business. MRS. J. W. BUTLER died in Sulphur Friday morning and was buried Saturday in Oaklawn cemetery. Funeral services were conducted at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. MCBRIDE on West 13th Street by REV. W.
