E. WARD Appointed Mail Carrier on Route 2 On Monday, O. E. WARD received notice of this appointment as carrier on Route 2, recently established south of Davis. … He has been bookkeeper at the FREEMAN store nearly 2 ½ years in which position he will be succeeded by W. F. PARKER. Death of Mrs. Rikard MRS. NANCY RIKARD, wife of J. C. RIKARD, died this morning at 8:45 at the family home 3 miles east of Davis, after an illness of several months. She was 67 years of age. She had been a citizen of this section about 20 years. She is survived by a husband and nine children. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery Friday morning at 10:30. Services will be held at the grave. In Cattle Market J. B. HARRELL was among the delegation from Murray County at the Oklahoma National Stock yards last Thursday. He had in two cars of steers, 54 head averaging 1052 pounds brining $6.60. U. S. JONES, a regular from Murray County, was in the Thursday market with a string of steers including 34 head of 1057 average that sold at 6.50, 23 head of 1993 sold at $62.5, 49 head of 1002 at $5.35 and 24 of 1031 at $6.40. WILL HORTON Hurt WILL H. HORTON, brother of T. H. HORTON of this city, seems to been an unlucky man. He has been working for the Dallas Light & Power Co. for some time, and word was received that he fell last Thursday and broke his back in 2 places… He fell and broke his hip last October and was in the sanitarium five months, and had been out just a couple of months when he fell again. He also fell and sustained painful injuries at Valley Mill, Texas nearly two years ago.
