It was ginned at R. A. VAUGHN's gin, and weighed 358 pounds and was sold to TOM DAVIS for 20 cents. A premium of $43 was given by Davis businessmen. This is the earliest date the first bale has been marketed here in many years. LEON MYERS Married News of the marriage of LEON MYERS has been received. He and MRS. GERTRUDE PRIDE were married in Memphis, Tennessee last Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. The bride is not known in Davis. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. JOHN L. MYERS of this city and has lived here several years. He is now assistant yard master for the Frisco at Memphis.
