Miss Ellyn HUNTER of Davis was chosen queen and given a gold medal at the queens' carnival in Sulphur. Other towns represented in the contest were Wynnewood, Pauls Valley, Purcell, Roff and Tishomingo. The three-days' picnic at Sulphur was rained out. High water in Guy Sandy prevented people from crossing this stream, as there was no bridge. The mail hack did not come from Sulphur for three days."
