'The farmers are wearing broad smiles since the recent rains,' editor Fay CROSSETT wrote. The bridge across Sandy north of town was completed. 'Everyone that visits Davis says our people are as sociable and hospitable as any on earth. The town's reputation in this respect is an enviable one,' CROSSETT wrote. Charges of misconduct were preferred against City Marshal W. G. CHAPMAN and he was given a trial before the city council and acquitted."
