B. HUTCHINS bought the George Wl. SULLIVAN place on East Main, formerly occupied by Walter BARNES. 'Souvenir postcards from SAUNDERS (Davis photographer) are all the rage now,' editor Fay CROSSETT wrote. 'You can get any style views of Turner and Price's Falls, Rock Cut or any other scenery in and around Davis, or your own photo on postal.' Prof. A. C. WILSON, superintendent of Davis school, arrived. Opening day was set for Oct. 2. 'It has been proposed to organize a club to be known as the Ten Thousand Club. It will undertake, by sane advertising, to increase the population (of Davis) to 10,000 in three years. This can be done if the plan is carried out,' CROSSETT wrote." Typed exactly as printed with the exception of capitaqlization of surnames. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Murray County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/murray/murray.htm
