THOMAS celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary." "50 YEARS AGO: Mrs. Omego HILL celebrated her 87th birthday." "100 YEARS AGO: The hotels and restaurants in Davis are all doing a good business. It is confidently believed that within six months Davis will need and will have a beautiful three-story brick hotel with 40 rooms, editor Fay CROSSETT wrote. R. B. HUTCHINS, the funeral man, stood an exam in embalming. He was notified that his exam was very satisfactory, and he got his certificate as a professional embalmer. CROSSETT asked, 'Have you seen those beautiful souvenir postcards SAUNDERS is making now? An official census was being taken."
