B. SHORT's home caused a little excitement. It was promptly extinguished, reported Fay CROSSETT, editor. Born to Mr. and Mr. R. B. HUTCHINS Sunday (Aug. 27), a fine boy. Property values are going up, rents are getting higher, business is improving, more people are coming to town, and Davis is enjoying an air of general prosperity. Dr. BRYANT bought Dr. KENNEDY's interest and planned to continue to practice dentistry in the same office over City Drug Store. Fifty teams, scrapers and men were expected to arrive soon to put in the electric 'road.' After that, electric lights would be added to Davis. Work on T. H. SLOVER's fine house in the north part of town had been started." The Davis News, Wednesday, September 28, 2005, Page 2 printed the following: "40 YEARS AGO: Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Luther PRICE celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary."
