The Davis News, Wednesday, March 8, 2006, Page 2:

"100 YEARS AGO:  The bond issue for the waterworks passed again by an 
overwhelming majority.  The vote was 221-3.  'The News is delighted that 
our people are a unit in wanting a water system.  We are as one people and 
should allow nothing to make us any other way,' editor Fay CROSSETT said.

The school board should set out a row of trees all around the school 
property, CROSSETT wrote.
