WILLIAMS vs LENA WILLIAMS, divorce Sudden Death of WILLIAM EWING About midnight Sunday WILLIAM EWING who lived with his wife at 14th Street West and Wynnewood Avenue died of heart failure. He was 65 years of age. He had gone to the Socialist speaking and got home about 10:00, shortly afterward he complained of pains around his heart. The Ewings came to Sulphur from Prague about a year ago. A son and two daughters who live in and around Prague were telegraphed. They arrived Monday and took the body to Warwick, Lincoln County, for burial. Local Paragraphs DR. G. L. SPURLOCK returned from a business trip to Oklahoma City. Furnished rooms--MRS. JOE BAILEY SLOVER MISS CARRIE MILLER is in Shreveport, Louisiana where she will spend the remainder of the summer. J. E. MCCLUNG, publisher of the Maysville Friend was a pleasant caller at this office Monday. The family of DAVID SHELBY, Indian agent at Pauls Valley, is spending the summer here. The Sanitarium is to be closed up. DR. JEFFRESS will ship the furniture and fixtures to Roff. MISS BEULAH SMITH who has been quite ill for some weeks is convalescing. JOS. W. YOUREE has brought from M. J. PONBOVITCH the confectionary on 12Th Street near the Bromide Springs. We regret to chronicle that CY LEEPER is in Colorado quite ill. Physicians have diagnosed his case as tuberculosis. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. WEST of Wheeling, West Virginia are visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. FEATHERSTONE. Mr. and Mrs. W. E LATIMER with children left for Paris, Texas where they will visit his parents. Mrs. CAUSEY of Roswell, New Mexico, who with her daughter has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. FEES, returned home. W. A COOK has returned from Wichita, Kansas where his father died on the night of June 27. Deceased was about 70 years old. He visited here last summer. Mrs. J. C. BARNETTE has as guests for the summer, her niece, MISS JENNIE B. STANLEY, and a grandson, BARNETT MCANALLY, both of Bonham, Texas. MRS. MINNIE KENNEDY of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. MABLE JENSK and Mrs. NELL FLETCHER of Indianapolis, Indiana are visiting their sister, Mrs. O. B. TOWNSLEY. In its wisdom the Board of Education has seen to fit the abolish the office of steward at the School for the Deaf and L. C. OLIVER who has filled that position for the two years has retired to his home at Norman. M. A. HOWERTON who is doing special work for the Department of Interior, such as inspecting timber cutting on unalloted lands, was here for a short furlough. A room occupied by ROM DUNCAN in the Bailey Building was searched Wednesday morning by Sheriff RAWLINGS and a quantity of empty beer bottles found. These will be held as evidence in a charge of violating the prohibition law. The masquerade party at the west side skating rink last Friday night was a grand success and is likely to be repeated soon. Some of the costumes were pretty and original. MISS FANNY DENTON wore a 'swell creation' constructed of Sulphur Posts which attracted favorable comment. Wanted--A list of good lands for trade. R. L. PENLAND. The managers of the Mystic Theatre have bought a vacuum fan which draws out 300 cubic feet of air every minute. This machine will be placed on the transom of the north door. They will also install a new 15 h. p. engine which will operate their fans and give them an abundance of light. VICTOR SMATIAN and wife are preparing to return to Schuyler, Nebraska from whence they came to Sulphur. It is Sulphur's misfortune to lose these good people. Word come from Lowarance Lake that the boys in camp there with EV. A. D. WAUCHOPE are all well and having the time of their lives. Mrs. E. E. EGAN and Mrs. J. H.
