Mrs. JOHN WALL and children of Sherman, Texas are visiting Dr. and Mrs. T. P. WALL. Attorney C. B. EMANUEL and T. E. MOLACEK made a business trip to Oklahoma City. W. G. SHORT of Durant, pure drug inspector, made the round of Sulphur drug stores on Thursday. MISS BOLTON of Clayton, New Mexico was the lucky recipient of the hand- painted picture given away at the Mystic theatre Monday night. RUBE MARLOW, who has returned from a business trip to West Texas, says the crop conditions there are at par. C. E. HIGGINBOTHAM of Hastings, Nebraska, who has large property interests in Sulphur, is here this week. Ladies' Seamless Hosiery 25 cents at C. E. HEWITT's. C. N. ALLEN of the law firm LATIMER & ALLEN in Paris, Texas is winding up some legal business this week. A very competent vocal teacher wishes to organize a class in Sulphur this fall. Refer to MRS. HARRY SHIBLEY. MISS NANETTE and MISS JULIET ROWAN of Oklahoma City are the guests of Mrs. WARD. VICTOR SWANSON of the light plant has gone to file on land in New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. O. B. GOFF returned to their home in Wilson, Kansas after a pleasant visit with their children here. CLAUDE MASTERS was over from Oklahoma city visiting home folks. Mrs. A. M. NEWNUM who has been ill for the past month is still confined to her bed. MISS ETHEL COOPER and MISS MYRTLE PICKENS of Davis returned to their respective homes Tuesday. They were visiting Mr. and Mrs. I. E. PACEY. F. D. FINCH, representing the Studebaker Wagon Co. of South Bend, Indiana, was here and sold the Maxwell Trading Co., a car of their celebrated wagons and buggies. MISS ELIZABETH LEACH is here from Ohio visiting her cousin, Mrs. B. S. HARRIS. MISS CARRIE MILLER returned Saturday from an extended trip through Louisiana and Arkansas. In connection with the ice cream parlor on Twelfth Street West, now owned by JOE YOUREE, there is a grocery department. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. NORRIS left for Colorado Springs where they expect to make their home. They have been managing the steam laundry here for several months. JOS. H. SIMPSON of the American Type Foundry was a welcome caller this week. Mrs. J. C. BARNETTE left Tuesday for Bonham, Texas where she will visit for a bit before proceeding to St. Louis and Chicago to arrange for a fall stock of millinery. Dr. HAMILL of Muskogee, an old time mining man of Joplin, Missouri, who has some property interest in Sulphur, is here. He is an enthusiast over the prospects of the Arbuckle mining field. Mr. and Mrs. JOHN A. HASTE are entertaining her father, J. W. WRIGHT of Trimble, Tennessee, a brother of JOHN WRIGHT of Hickman, Kentucky, and a brother LESLIE WRIGHT with his wife and baby are here from Jackson, Tennessee. A marriage license was issued to JOSEPH BAKER, 21 of Sulphur and JENNIE BROADEN, 18 of Sulphur. Later her mother swore a warrant that the girl was only 13 years ago, making charges of perjury against Baker. PETE BEAUCHAMP still continues to improve and the chances are favorable for his recovery--from the Roff Eagle. Lights in the Park Tuesday night, the lights were 'out' in at the Park by the electric light people who were brought to their senses by an U. S. attorney, W. J. GREGG from Muskogee, who had an ultimatum up his sleeve--lights, or damages for non-fulfillment of contract. Hence the illumination.
