Result: POTTS is dead and buried and MARLOW will face a jury of his peers on a charge not yet formulated… The remains of the unfortunate man were buried in Oak Lawn cemetery Monday afternoon under the direction of the I.O.O.F. of which order he was a member. The funeral took place from the residence of his brother, J. C. POTTS, district clerk of Murray County. He leaves two little girls, having been separated from his wife for some time. A brother, THOMAS POTTS, lives in Shawnee. Jack Potts had been engaged in real estate business here about three years…He was a member of the school board… Marlow is in real estate business and is also partner in the L. & M. dry goods store. He formerly lived at Hickory in and around which township he has considerable property. He is married and has several small children and represents the first ward of Sulphur in the city council. He has a reputation as a business man and a citizen is above par…. DEERO DUNCAN was called as the only eye-witness at the coroner's inquest held Saturday morning. Others examined were J. R. SUMMERS, DR. TUCKER, CITY MARSHAL HANEY and DR. BAILEY… District Court ARA WILLIAMS, charged with the murder of JESS JOHNSTON near Dougherty, result in hung jury, to be retried. State vs JOHN EDGEMAN State vs A. KELTNER and E. SCRIVENER State vs JOE BAKER, case dismissed State vs LON TATE and CHARLES ISOM, not guilty State vs W. E. LAMB Mr. and Mrs. H. E. MALONE are entertaining R. L. MALONE and wife of Vicksburg, Mississippi and a sister, Mrs. LOUIS SPENCE of Piggott, Arkansas.
