Josephine Beasley Services for W. Josephine Beasley, 73, Davis, were held Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Clagg Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was at Hickory Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. Josephine was born to Ernest Langford and Ester Josephine Durham October 20, 1930 at Portales, N.M. She died December 8 at Pauls Valley. She married Hubert Ray Beasley October 6, 1951 in DeQueen, Ark. He preceded her in death May 5, 1994. She was raised in Hickory and attended Hickory school. She lived in Dougherty for 17 years and in the Chigley community for the past 15 years. She was affiliated with the Hickory Baptist Church and worked as secretary for the Dougherty School System and nurse at Callaway Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Thomas M. Adams; a brother, LeRoy Langford; and a sister, Beatrice Pettitt. Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and James Fixico, Choctaw; sons and daughters in law, Denver Ray and Sharon Beasley, Meeker, Ricky Lynn and Angela Beasley, Nowata, Michael and Tracy Beasley, Chigley, Mark and Sally Beasley, Sulphur, Tommie Rhinehart, Pocola, Marian Sharber, Choctaw; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jimmy Knight, Craig Dunn, Terry Patrick, two sisters, Tommy Dilbeck and Roy Langford. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Fixico, Jeremy Beasley, Jacob Fixico, Shannon Beasley, Matthew Beasley, and Jeffrey Beasley.
