Helen Baker

Helen Baker, 99, died Sunday, June 20, 1999, in Amarillo. 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Martin Funeral Chapel at Sayre, 

Okla., with the Rev. Lin Sylvester of First United Methodist Church at 
Sayre officiating. Burial will be in Delhi Cemetery at Delhi, Okla., by 
Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 315 E. Fifth.

Mrs. Baker was born in Sulphur, Okla. She married Sheldon S. Baker in 1927 
at Sayre. He died in 1932. She was the postmaster in Delhi until retiring 
in 1972. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Sayre. 

Survivors include a daughter, Dena Holland of Amarillo; a son, William 
Baker of Patterson, La.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 
and four greatgreat-grandchildren.

The body will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the 
funeral home in Amarillo. The body will also be available for viewing at 
Martin Funeral Home at Sayre on Saturday.
