Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Ada with Krien Funeral Home of Sulphur in charge of arrangements. Born July 14, 1986 in Sulphur to Gregorio and Esperanza Barcenas Torres, he died Saturday, Aug. 19 near Sulphur. He grew up in Roff, graduating from Roff High School in 2005. He excelled in academics as well as athletics. He played second baseman on the state champion Roff High School baseball team. He received a full scholarship to Murray State College in Tishomingo and transferred to East Central University in Ada his sophomore year. He loved people and would always take time to stop and say hello. He worked at Roff Iron Company while attending college and helped out in the family business. He was an active member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Sulphur. Surviving are his parents, Greg and Esperanza, of the home; three brothers, Greg, Andres and Jesus J. Torres, all of the home; one sister, Sendi Torres, of the home; grandparents, Berulo Barcenas Zavala and Alejandra Rocha Escandon of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was preceded in death by a sister, Luzi Maria Torres Barcenas and four uncles, Jose Barcenas, Guadalup Torres, Antonio Torres and Rojelia Torres.
