Finis Steelman and Rev. James Densman officiating. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with Krien Funeral Home of Davis in charge of arrangements. Born January 11, 1921 in Wynnewood to John Herman Payne and Leona Majors Payne, she died Tuesday, May 30 in Ardmore. Mrs. Coppenbarger grew up and lived in Murray County all her life. She and Ralph Coppenbarger were married 29 years and together the couple raised three children. She worked many years for Food Way Grocery as cashier and at the Tavern Trading Post in Turner Falls. She also cooked at the Falls Creek Baptist Assembly. She loved fishing, cooking and gardening. Due to ill health, she had lived at the Burford Manor Nursing Home since 2000. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Junior Coppenbarger and Karen and Buster Coppenbarger and Vickie, all of Davis; one daughter, JoAnne Dunivan and husband, John, Morrison; one brother, Johnny Payne, Duncan; two sisters, Dorothy Watson, Davis and Thelma Neal, Waurika; five grandchildren, Heidi Wright, Jared Dunivan, Colby Dunivan, Cade Coppenbarger and Justin Coppenbarger and three great grandchildren, Kagen Dunivan, Kycen Dunivan and Londen Dunivan. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, William Payne, Doyle Payne, Jessie Payne and E. A. Payne and three sisters, Estell Rogers, Ruby Huggins and Frances Payne. Pallbearers were Terry Crumb, Larry Jolly, Richard Johnson, Larry Davis, George Johnson, Tommy Hays and Terry Hefley.
