Services were June 21 at the Assembly of God Church in Baum. Burial was at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis. Mrs. Chronister was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Springer to Irvie and Blanche (Austin) Coffman. She grew up in Springer and attended Smokey Valley School. She worked as a nurses' aide in hospitals and nursing homes in the area. She married Joe Nantz Feb. 14, 1942. After his death Sept. 5, 1972, she married J.L. Ashford in January of 1975 and moved to Dibble. He died Nov. 1, 1987. She married George Chronister Nov. 28, 1989. They lived in Springer until he died Sept. 14, 1997. She moved to Davis in 2001, where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Baum Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and working in her yard, especially the flower garden. She also loved to cook and was noted for her chocolate pies. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, a son, Ray Davis, and two sisters, Viola Eason and Bertha Andrews. She is survived by a son, Donnie Nantz of Springer, a brother, Donnie Coffman of Springer, a sister, Zona Mumford of Davis, three grandchildren, Debbie Oxley of Choctaw, Kathy Cox of Midwest City and Paula Owens, and two great-grandchildren, Michael Davis and Miranda Davis, both of Oklahoma City. Pallbearers were Glen Anderson, Dale Noland, James Reading, Roger Gillum, Cecil Ince, Jim Hughes and Gerald Anderson.
