Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sunray Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Day was born in Madill, Okla., and had been a Moore County resident since 1957. He was an automotive mechanic and a veteran of the Army and Navy. He was a member of Sunray Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a past post commander of the Dumas Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1475. He married Mary Wilson in 1945 at Sulphur, Okla. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Kay Day, in 1953. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe L. Day of Amarillo and Richard Day of Sunray; two daughters, Stella Louise Tronnes of Crookston, Minn., and Sharon Britton of Sunray; a brother, James E. Day of Sulphur; a sister, Lena Mae Sanders of Elgin, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family will be at 303 Avenue N.
