Interment was at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Midwest City. Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home of Del City was in charge of arrangements. She was born on March 8, 1920 at Hickory and was adopted at the age of 3, along with her sister, Pauline, by Jess and Vera Sloan, Ada. Later, six brothers and sisters were born to her adoptive parents. She died June 21, 2003. She lived most of her childhood in Hickory and Roff before moving to Ada. She married Marvin Davis and they moved to Midwest City in 1954. Mrs. Davis was honored in 2002 by the Country Estates Baptist Church for 46 years service as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, playing rummy-que, traveling and meeting with her church "Gaders," before becoming ill. She is survived by a son, Jack Davis, Oklahoma City, a daughter, Jeanne March and her husband, James, Sante Fe, Tex.; three sisters, Joy Harp and husband, Harold, Ada; Patsy Siegenthaler and husband, Jim, Muskogee; Janis Connell and husband, Clarence, Richland Hills, Tex.; one brother, Bob Sloan and wife, Shirley, Bethany; and brother-in-law, Don Roark, Tulsa; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are long time friends and care-givers, Wes and Hermalee Churchwell and Montry Robertson of Midwest City.
