Ruth Fowler
MEMPHIS - Ruth Fowler, 94, died Wednesday, July 30, 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with 
Tom Posey officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Spicer 
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fowler was born in Sulphur, Murry County, Okla. She moved to Memphis 
from Petersburg in 1946.
She married John Fowler in 1926 at Sayre, Okla. He died in 1989.
Mrs. Fowler was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and United 
Methodist Women. She also was active with Fowler's Rexall Drug Store.
Survivors include two sons, Dick Fowler and Bob Fowler, both of Memphis; a 
brother, Carl Garrett of Winnemucca, Nev.; two sisters, Pauline Roberts of 
Sweetwater, Okla., and Juanita Godwin of Fullerton, Calif.; six 
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to the Methodist church or a favorite 
charity.
