May 23, 11 a.m. Visitation for Nadine Priscilla Chambers Goodlin will be held at Basham Funeral Care on Wednesday evening May 22, 2002 from 5-9 p.m. and a graveside service will be held on Thursday morning May 23, 200 at 11:00 a.m. at Arvin Cemetery. Nadine was born June 20, 1920 in Sulphur, Oklahoma and she passed away in Bakersfield on Sunday, May 19, 2002 with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Sherman Chambers, her second husband Daniel Goodlin, son Alfred Chambers, son Wayne Chambers, and son- in-law Elton Knowles. She is survived by her daughter, Goldie Knowles; son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Carol Chambers; son and daughter-in-law, Vernon and Sue Chambers; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and James Selvey; daughter-in-law, Dee Chambers; daughter-in-law, Linda Chambers; sister, Erma Chambers; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Betty Britt; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nadine loved Jesus will all her heart and she was always active in the Fairfax Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed quilting with her mother and her sisters. She made wonderful cobbler pie and home-made biscuits. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
