Services were at 2:00 p.m. Dec. 5 at First Free Will Baptist Church in Sulphur with Dr. Brad Ransom officiating. Burial was at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur. Krien Funeral Home of Sulphur was in charge of arrangements. Grissom was born north of Sulphur on Aug. 13, 1932, to Joe and Pearl (Hale) Grissom. He retired from Dolese Brothers Company and was a farmer and businessman. He and Dorothy Jean Miller were married for 50 years. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors and trucks and was a member of the Murray County Antique Tractor Club. He was also a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Sulphur. He is survived by his wife of the home; five children, Vicki Jackson, Sulphur, Karen Blair and Brandon Grissom, both of California, Ricky Grissom, Oklahoma and Jerry Grissom, Tennessee; two brothers, Bob and Peter Grissom; a sister, Juanita Hair; 10 grandchildren, Jami Cole, Darren Jackson, Christopher Kerr, Lindsay Kerr, Bambi White, Buffy Lovelis, Rachel Blackmon, Sarah Gregg, Emily Grissom and Daubi Grissom, and nine great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter, Bill, Michael and twin brother, Powell, and sisters, Jean Grissom and Peggy LeFever. Pallbearers were Jimmy McGill, J.J. McGill, Buddy Vinyard, Drew Coles, Luke White, Richard Chadwick, Charles Birch, Danny Miller, Larry Miller, Paul Blair, Jeremy Hall and Bo Thomas. Honorary pallbearers were J.C.
