Funeral services were March 21 at the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Finis Steelman and Don Jaquez officiating. Burial was at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Krien Funeral Home. Mrs. Hawkins was born Dec. 1, 1917, to Adell (Holley) and Bill Warren in Davis. She graduated from Davis High School in 1937 and married Lester Hawkins at the First Baptist Church in Davis that same year. He preceded her in death July 12, 2003. She was employed by the city of Davis and retired after 20 years of service. Hawkins was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir and served as Sunday School secretary for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, Leonard, Leroy, Willie and Charles Warren, and three sisters, Aline Eggleston, Blanche Johannesson and Bonnie Edwards. She is survived by three children, Dixie Tomlinson of Davis, Warren Hawkins of Sulphur and Lester D. Hawkins of Stratford, eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Lester D.
