Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A Ft. Sill Honor's Team will present the colors. Born September 23, 1925 in Sulphur to Grady Warren and Hattie Mae Crain Hood, he died Monday, April 18 at Pauls Valley. A retired maintenance worker at Chikasaw National Recreation Area, he married Naomi Gene Anderson on October 12, 1952 in Sulphur. He was a veteran of World War II and a Prisoner of War, having served in the Army in Germany. He attended Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. Except for the time spent in the military, he lived in Sulphur all his life and attended school here. He worked at Lafey's Automotive Parts and Kraft Foods prior to his employment at Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Surviving are his wife, Gene, Sulphur; one sone, Lyndel Keith Hood, Sulphur; two brothers, George and Carl Hood, both of Sulphur; three sisters, Rosie McKinley and Mary Davis, both of Sulphur and Betty Mann, Oklahoma City; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kent McKinley, Joe Don Runyan, Jim McKinley, Clyde Runyan, Mickey Mann, David Davis and Mark Davis.
