Eddie Malphrus, Rev. Finis Steelman, Rev. Harold Hunt and Rev. Wayne Edgar officiating. Interment was in Palmer Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mike was born April 24, 1945 in Davis to Onnel Joshua Hunter and Corinne Montgomery Hunter. He died Thursday, March 23 in Sulphur. Owner of Hunter Pawn Shop in Sulphur and longtime supporter of the Murray County 4H and FFA programs, he was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Sulphur Lions Club, Murray County Fair Board and was chairman of the Murray County Livestock Show Premium Sales Committee. Mike grew up in Sulphur, graduating from Sulphur High School in 1963 and from Oklahoma Statue University in 1968 where he received his Masters in Education degree. He was the Vo-Ag teacher in Sulphur for 12 years and a rancher. He married Gail Staggs on June 3, 1964 in Davis. Surviving are his wife, Gail, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Paul and Taryn Hunter, Sulphur and four grandchildren, Taylor, Devin, Edie and Aspen. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Chris Howe, Steve Dilbeck, Rick McNeil, Phil Key, David Pittman and Joe Pirkle. Honorary bearers were Allen Butch Hill, Danny Hilliard, John Cope, Junior Clary, Shiloh Butts, Dr. Ronny Kiehn, Glenn Mann, Van Chew, Dr. Randy Williams, H. C. Rackley, Jr. and Chris Hughes.
