Surnames: Irwin Sanders Lewis Originally posted at: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.oklahoma.counties.murray/1918/mb.ashx Graveside services for Retta Belle Sanders Irwin, 71, Columbia, South Carolina, were held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2006 in Greenlawn Memorial Park Northeast, with Pastor Jeff Benson officiating. The family received visitors from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Shives Funeral Home prior to the service. Mrs. Irwin died Wednesday, December 27, 2006. Born in Davis, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Harve A. and Lillie Mae (Lewis) Sanders. In the '60's she worked in the emergency room at the Baptist Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, while her husband was stationed at Fort Jackson. In the '80's, Mrs. Irwin was the school nurse and librarian at Chamberlain - Hunt Academy, in Port Gibson, Mississippi. She was also the chaperone for the choir and the Marching Cavaliers Drill Team. Survivors include her husband, Calvin H. Irwin, Jr., of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Quattrini, Columbia, S.C. and Pamela Kay Wright, Sulphur; two sons, Calvin R. Irwin, Columbia, S.C. and Keith Bell, Apache, Okla.; two sisters, Rena Sheely, Spring Valley, Ariz. and Hazel Payne, Wilson; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert D. Irwin and a grandson, Michael Bell; one brother, Roy Sanders and a sister, Ruby Ewrick.
